WPH/ WDP series pH/ ORP controllers

Walchem's pH/ORP on-line process controllers will improve your treatment performance. With a choice of two models WPH (single pH/ ORP) or WDP (dual pH/ ORP), finding the optimum control for your application is a snap. These controllers are designed for a broad range of industrial, commercial, and municipal water treatment applications. The controllers are easily configured to accurately measure pH or mV (ORP) values from Walchem’s WEL differential combination electrodes, or any conventional combination electrode. A versatile output configuration allows you to program up to four outputs in a variety of control modes. Select from on/off mechanical relays or pulse proportional control for direct connection to metering pumps. The easy-to-use menu format and pre-wired, pre-mounted panel system options make set-up and installation quick and simple. Integrated data logging validates system performance. A USB memory stick is all that’s needed to extract data and event logs that include electrode measurements, temperature and relay status. Download log files from the USB stick to a PC at your convenience. It couldn’t be easier!

All W400 controllers include the ability to upgrade the software via USB. To perform these upgrades, simply download the upgrade from the Walchem website to a USB stick and upload to the controller. Please remember to re-calibrate ORP and pH electrodes after the upgrade.

Grounding problems?
The classical diagnostic symptom for poor earth grounding is when the system calibrates and works fine outside of the tank or line, but drifts or reads incorrectly when installed in the system. Plastic tanks and piping are particularly susceptible to grounding problems, because of poor earth grounding. Dirty motors from electrically driven pumps or mixers, other electrical equipment and even conductivity probes leak voltage into the solution which feeds through the pH electrode and electronic circuit. This leads to invalid readings and shortened electrode life. Walchem electrodes combats these problems by utilising a solution ground pin and powered ground interrupt circuit.
